Residential tenancies are contractual matters that are governed by consumer law.
Early on I represented tenants; with time and experience, that practice evolved
into representing landlords only. I offer the full range of legal services in
complying with a complex statutory scheme that is intended to bring fairness to
dealings between landlords and tenants. The central issue is clear communication
of the rights and obligations of the parties in an area that is inherently
emotional. The lawyer's role is to act as the grease in the machinery - to
reduce the landlord's expenses and to simplify matters for everyone by assisting
in clear adherence to the statutory scheme.

Commercial tenancies are more of a contract than a consumer matter. I offer services
in negotiating and drafting lease agreements, as well as litigation services in
enforcing or disputing commercial leases
Landlord/Tenant costs
I offer services to residential landlords on an hourly basis, plus costs. Most
residential notices, including information gathering, can be done in less than
an hour. Initial eviction complaint preparation, filing and service takes about
an hour of attorney time. Court appearances make the cost skyrocket.
